RE: TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF SEA VOYAGE DUE TO STS EMONG

To ensure the safety of all residents and seafarers within the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur, the Local Government Unit hereby issues this advisory in light of the prevailing weather disturbance brought about by Severe Tropical Storm Emong, currently affecting Northern Luzon and nearby coastal areas.

Effective immediately, all sea voyages—both commercial and non-commercial—are hereby temporarily PROHIBITED within the coastal waters of Sta. Cruz, Ilocos Sur, until further notice.

This includes:

• Fishing and beach activities

• Inter-island travel via motorboats or bancas

• Cargo transport via small sea vessels

The prohibition is based on advisories from PAGASA, citing rough sea conditions and strong winds associated with the storm that pose extreme danger to maritime travel.

All barangay officials and local law enforcement units are directed to strictly implement this advisory and provide assistance to those affected.
