To foster agricultural development and improve local mobility, the Local Government Unit of Sta. Cruz officially led the blessing and inauguration of the newly completed Farm-to-Market Road connecting Barangay Bugbuga and Barangay Coscosnong on May 6, 2026.
The ceremonial opening was spearheaded by Municipal Mayor Hon. Teresita C. Valle, Municipal Vice Mayor Atty. Virgilio J. Valle, and Municipal Administrator Engr. Angelica Marie C. Valle. They were joined by the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, alongside the respective Barangay Councils of Bugbuga and Coscosnong, highlighting a unified collaborative effort between municipal and village leaders.
The new road network is expected to drastically cut travel time, lower transportation costs for local agricultural producers, and provide safer, more reliable access for residents traveling between the two communities. Prior to this development, local farmers faced logistical challenges in bringing their harvests to the primary trading centers.
During the event, municipal officials emphasized that investing in robust rural infrastructure remains a top priority for the administration, serving as a catalyst for economic growth and an improved quality of life for the residents of Sta. Cruz.
Local officials and residents from both barangays expressed their deep gratitude for the completion of the project, noting that the concrete road marks a new chapter of progress and convenience for their daily commutes and livelihood activities.
