To guarantee the safety and security of beachgoers, tourists, and local coastal communities, the Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Sta. Cruz has officially heightened its operational readiness in anticipation of the Summer Vacation (SUMVAC) peak and the traditional observance of Semana Santa 2026.
As part of its strategic safety deployment, CGSS Sta. Cruz has activated its elite Deployable Response Group (DRG) to ensure immediate tactical emergency response capability. To establish a seamless security network, the station has reinforced its inter-agency coordination with the Municipal Mayor, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), local coastal barangay councils, and beachfront resort operators for a fully integrated public safety effort.
Alongside emergency readiness, the Coast Guard has intensified its standard Baywatch Patrol Operations across the municipality’s coastlines. Personnel are actively monitoring swimming zones, enforcing strict maritime safety rules, and maintaining a visible presence to assist the public when needed.
To encourage grassroots vigilance, the sub-station is actively promoting vital public information campaigns. Visitors and residents are urged to utilize the “E-Sumbong” platform and embrace the “See Something, Say Something” principle, reporting any unusual incidents or coastal emergencies directly to maritime authorities.
The CGSS Sta. Cruz administration reminds everyone planning to visit local beaches and resorts to stay alert, strictly follow designated safety guidelines, and corporate with on-duty life-savers to ensure a peaceful, safe, and meaningful holiday season.
